Show Me the Money! Grants, Money Trees and Pots o' Gold

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This session will include a discussion of resources for extra funding & materials for school libraries. This will include lists, links, samples, anecdotal tales, tips and tricks. Some sources, like grants from the state, Donors Choose or PTO may be obvious, but some of the nuances on how to maximize these funds may not be. We will also review some other sources of funding as well which are not necessarily conventional. The presenter has successfully gotten multiple tablets, books, robots, 3D printers, programming money, shelving, supplies and more through grants and innovative funding solutions. The bottom line is that people, overall, want to support our school libraries. This session explores ways to harness this goodwill in ways to benefit our students and schools. People who are interested in becoming aware of additional resources, digging deeper into familiar ones, or are new to grants and funding beyond CSF and the school budget are the target audience.
